Call for Art—Dogs of Oak Cliff
Tiny Gallery Trail | Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas
Exhibition dates | October 10 - January 9, 2027
They greet us at the door. They roam our neighborhood and sleep in our beds. In Oak Cliff, every dog has a story — and so does every person who loves one.
The relationship between Oak Cliff and its dogs is full of love and loyalty, but also fear, loss, and the everyday complexity of caring for animals. The Tiny Gallery Trail invites artists to explore all of it — honestly and with heart.

Good to know
The Tiny Gallery Trail is in an outdoor setting and your work will be housed within a small gallery box.
-
Extreme heat: Interior temperatures can reach 160°F, even with optimal box orientation. If it can’t take the heat, it won’t last the summer.
-
Vandalism risk: All work should be created with the understanding that public art is… public.
-
Material limitations: Some 3D-printed plastics will soften or melt in extreme Texas heat.
-
Moisture exposure: Paper, books, and porous materials may absorb humidity and warp.
-
Insects happen: Even sealed boxes can occasionally allow ants or other insects inside, which may eat and/or damage artwork.
